Date: 05/11-12/02
Weather: clear, low 80's
Tires: Yokohama A032R's.

Swapped in new slotted Brembo rotors after this: Gnarly Crack

I'm finally starting to knock some time off my previous best lap times for Thunderhill as I get more comfortable with each turn. I'm down to a 2:09 from a 2:12 for this configuration. Since my Yok's were near EOL, I decided to run both Saturday and Sunday so that I could finish them off properly......and get my money's worth out of them. ;-) Group 4 on Saturday had over 40 cars so getting a clear lap was next to impossible but I was floored to find out that my quickest lap of the weekend was the 5th lap during the very first session! Oops, so much for starting the day off nice and easy. For the most part, I worked on individual turns all weekend as well as left foot braking into T8. LFB'ing into T8 really helped my confidence into the turn and it kept me over-braking. 
Sunday was a great day as well and the cracked brembo got several comments by others who couldn't believe its size. Do not read too much into this crack or its severity because this rotor lived a hard life and was heavily abused compared to others that I've used. I knew these rotors would not last through the weekend and came prepared with a new set.
